This is a made up story
A young girl named Madison was living in the countryside in a small farming village. Her father worked hard in the farm to earn money, while her mother would do all the household work & help with farm chores. Her parents wanted her to study well in a school, so she wouldn't have to struggle on fields as a farmer but Madison was very mischievous & never liked to study.
As Madison grew older, she became stubborn too. When she joined high school, she had to work hard to pass her classes & therefore, she dreaded going to school even more. Eventually, she started skipping classes to play outside along with other girls who didn't want to study. Three months passed like this & the final exams were just around the corner. Meanwhile, Madison's parents didn't know about any of this.
Since Madison had skipped all the classes, she could not catch up with her studies & failed. Seeing her report card, her parents became very worried. Managing one year of school fees was difficult for them to begin with and they hardly managed to make ends meet. They didn't get angry with Madison but instead went to her school to check if there was any mistake in the grades. It was then they learned that Madison had not attended school for the last three months.
Upon learning this, her parents felt very sad & frustrated. Not only because Madison wasted an entire school year but also because she had lied to her parents and disrespected her teachers. They asked Madison for an explanation. In reply, Madison rudely said, "I don't want to study. You're forcing me to go to school. Do whatever you can; I am not going there again!" Her parents tried to explain to her but she wasn't ready to listen to a word. Madison’s father lost patience and scolded her saying, "What do you want to do if your not going to study? Do you want to walk around on the roads & beg for food?" Madison retorted even more forcefully, "OK! If that's what I can do to avoid school, I'll do that" and without hearing any more, she left the house.
Madison wandered through the neighborhood and after some time reached another town. For a couple of days, she enjoyed being outside of home & away from school without any restrictions. Within two days, she spent all the money she had in his pockets to buy food. She slept on a bench in a garden. She had no shelter and no work to do. Nobody had enough trust to give work to a poor school girl. Days passed by & Madison became very lean without food.
People who passed by, threw coins at her assuming she was a beggar. Madison gathered the coins & bought a loaf of bread. As soon as she started eating it, a hungry stray dog ran by and snatched it away from her. Winter was approaching fast & Madison didn't have anything to cover herself during the cold night. She slept shivering on the bench. Eventually, Madison got very sick due to hunger & cold. She then thought of her mother who had always kept meals ready for her in the morning & evening & her father who covered her with a soft, warm blanket during cold nights. She also remembered how lovingly her parents took care of her whenever she had a fever. She started missing her parents a lot.
